How 'bout a race update? I took it. Aug 30, 2009 Men's Cat 3 40-44 Rim Nordic Series Winner! To quote Bev Brown from Rim Nordic (http://www.rimnordic.com/bike.php) "He could not be beat!" After winning the last three races in the series and taking 3rd in the first of the series the praise felt nice. Even Vladimir thought so. And, if it feels to you like I'm tootin' my own horn a bit...I AM! Not even a bit, a lot... The victory at Rim Nordic felt especially sweet after my dismal performance at the Summer End Grand Prix in Ontario on Aug 23. Can you say DNF? Too hot, not enough training. Road racing is hard :(
This pretty much concludes the 2009 race season. There are a few more races here and there, but the bulk of them are over. The next big one is Sept 20 USA Cycling Pro XCT Unification Race at Bonelli Park in San Dimas. This should be fun. I'll keep you updated...
